A 7 foot fence should keep a toddler in, right?

The good news is that he STILL hasn't broken any bones... Grace was playing with a marble toy, Joy was playing in her exersaucer, Mikey was outside finding rolly-poleys and Heather was making breakfast; Jordan was of course, fast asleep ;) A little knock on the FRONT door - it was Mikey :( I stayed calm and asked how he got out, he said in his sweet innocent little voice "C'mon dad, I'll show you!"

The fence gate was closed and when he ran past me after I opened it, I had him stop so that I could document what was about to happen.

Mikey has been diagnosed with SPD - Sensory Processing Disorder - and the way it manifests itself in him is in about the same way you and I deal with driving tired. When I am sleepy on a drive, I fidget, open the windows, turn up the AC, blast music, WHATEVER it takes to stay on the road and awake. It's kinda like that - the compulsion part anyway.

He needs to jump, bounce, run, run from us, climb, jump off things and occasionally scream to feel some sort of calm. Although we are finding ways to help keep him regulated and calmer (via a sensory diet) he sometimes find himself unregulated and free to do what he wants.

Today was one of those days... After photographing him, I pulled down the toy that gave him access to the fence - and we are safe again but I fear the day that he has an accident.
